Dreamland Bar-B-Que

This place is amazing. They are known for their ribs, and i mean some good ol ribs!! The bbq sauce is amazing and just like melts in your mouth. The food is absolutely delicious. It is a great atomsphere to take the family or friends out in. I recommend this food to anyone and would be great for tailgating during football season!! Delicious and you will not make a bad or wrong decision here!

The Ribs were smoked well, in a nice pit, however the sauce left a lot to be desired. This was above average BBQ for Birmingham, but make a trip to Decatur for Big Bob Gibsons if you want great Alabama BBQ

If you love ribs, Dreamland is rib heaven. The flavor is smokey-smooth, the vinegar based sauce is sharp and sweet. You get all you can eat white-bread to sop up the sauce.

The service is effiecient and friendly.

And the price if fairly reasonable.

The atmosphere is a bit noisy due to the acoustics of the old building, but, its not overbaring. The decor is sports themed. There's a big neon sign over the smoker grill that reads "NO FARTING."

Today, December 23, 2006, we drove over to Dreamland Bar-B-Que ribs to get a slab of ribs and some potato salad. We got it to take out. We got home and started to eat the ribs and couldn't even get them off of the bones, they were sooooooo tough. They sure were not worth $17.95 + tax. We could not even eat them. However, the potato salad was quite good. I would certainly appreciate the money back for the ribs. Jimmy Estes, 85 Carson Village, Birmingham, Al. 35215. Thank you!!

Dreamland Bar B Que in Birmingham has some of the best bar b que ribs around. They have been around for more then 50 years and they still know how to make their customers happy. The atmosphere is very casual and down home. The decor isnt very fancy, but as they say at Dreamlandthe ribs are the main attractions anyway. The menualso includes such items as: baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, pork sandwiches and bar-b-que chicken. Aint Nothin Like Um Nowhere!

I have lived here all my life & I always heard about how good the ribs were at original Dreamland in Tuscaloosa Alabama. When they opened one in my area I was so excited. Then I ate there. The food is way overpriced & taste is just okay.

The South is known for its delicious BBQ but please don't go to Dreamland & think we southerners consider what they serve to be "good" BBQ. If you want to find good BBQ just ask a local to point out their favorite hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. That is where we hide the real stuff.

Been there 4 times & all 4 times it's been good - quite good actually. I've had ribs in 3 or 4 other places in the Birmingham area & Dreamland's the best, TASTE-wise. Prices may be a bit higher than they should be, but so what - if you really like 'em, you won't mind.

Don't know quite what those other reviewers experinced, but I sure haven't seen/felt it.
